Happiness2 Day 128 (5/28)

I have an aloe plant that started as a tiny cutting from my next door neighbor probably close to 10 years ago. It had become a crazy monster plant. So today, my mom and I took it apart, threw about half away, and divvied the rest into 11 pots, with very judicious pruning. It made me happy to get that “one of these days” projects done.

Aloe, anyone?

Happiness2 Day 126 (5/26)

There was a whole debacle with getting a mattress for our guest bed in time for my mom’s visit. I ordered it 8 days before she arrived, and when she had already been here a couple days, I called to cancel it and get my money back, because it hadn’t shown up, and the tracking number they had sent me didn’t work. Two days later, the mattress appeared on our doorstep. But in the meantime, I had ordered another one elsewhere, and had it shipped express. I called Costco (the original mattress seller) back and told them that the mattress showed up, even though I had called and canceled it. So they requested UPS to come pick it up, which they did on Friday. Today I got the notification from Costco that my refund has been processed, and should be in my account in 72 hours. That’s what made me happy.
